Bean and Rice Giveaway
We’re excited to be sharing with our community during Lent by giving away bags of beans and rice. We need help each week packing these bags and distributing them. Distribution will be on Fridays, from 1-3 pm or while supplies last. Contact the church office, 256-355-1842, for more information or to volunteer to help.
Ladies Lenten Study
Melissa Heron will lead a women’s Bible study during Lent. The book is Easter:Behold Your King by Lifeway Women. This is a thoughtful look at the Easter season, focusing on the events and deeper theological meaning of the Passion Week. The first meeting is Tuesday, February 21, 6:30 pm, in McWhorter Hall. Other meetings will be on Monday nights, 6:30 pm, in room 20, from February 27 to April 3. Lenten Dinners
Lenten dinners will begin on Wednesday, March 1, and continue each Wednesday through the month of March. Dinner will start at 5 pm each week and be followed by a table talk discussion of our Life Along the Way series. Menu and sign up sheets will be available each Sunday or fill out the form below to sign up. Please reserve your meal by Monday at 10 am. The meal is by donation only.
Prayer Groups
Recognizing the importance of prayer and reflection especially during Lent, we will offer two prayer groups.
Thursdays at 10 am in Room 21. Facilitated by Joanne Griffith.
Sundays at 6 pm in McWhorter Hall. Facilitated by Pastor Jason Greene.
Either group is open to anyone who wants to pray.
